In 1993, Benjamin Netanyahu set out a clear idea: lasting peace would come not through compromise, but through deterrence. Over the next three decades, across elections, scandals, protests and pressure, he pursued that idea without deviation. Judged on those terms, he succeeded. This is not a moral judgement.
